There are two things in the news getting more attention by the tabloids and gossip shows than anything else at the moment and it’s hard to believe. That’s right, Emily’s boobs are causing people to go media crazy. I’m not sure why people think this is such a big deal. Plenty of people get surgery to enhance or fix things. If she wants to go do that, all the power to her. It’s not like we’re in 1965 and she’s the first pioneer to ever get this done. Are we supposed to be angered, appalled or even remotely surprised? The fact that this is making headline news is kind of laughable. Us Weekly who loves to spoil anything remotely related to The Bachelor franchise even thought to email me directly to tell me that Emily’s ta-tas were fake. Well, thanks, Us Weekly, I really needed to know that…just couldn’t sleep without that information…gee, thanks for giving me some peace of mind. Is this the press’s way of demonstrating that Emily isn’t so perfect after all? Give her a break!
‘Nuff said on that.
Moving on, The Husband and I are leaving on a 6 AM train tomorrow for Rehoboth Beach for some family time. It’s his mom’s birthday and all The Husband’s siblings and nieces and nephews will be there. I will attempt to go computer free for the long weekend, but not to worry, I’ll be taking mental snapshots of everything funny and strange to share with you all! With any luck, OfficeStace.com will launch next week, which means it’s going to be a very busy next few days. I’m going to try to enjoy the fresh air, sunshine and boardwalk. We’ve been going carb free all week to try to look remotely presentable in bathing suits, so I’m particularly cranky. Time for some much needed rest and relaxation!

Wasn't a fan of US Weekly before that blog. I equate it to being as reliable as the Nat'l Enquirer. I do have to put in my 2 cents on the issue of Emily overreacting to the whole Kalon drama (just now getting to read this weeks blog) and the guys not protecting her or warning her. I have to think if I were in her shoes I would be so paranoid after the Bentley drama with Ashley…it's like you know there's a villain among the guys, but who? It would have to drive you insane to be in that position and always questions every ones agenda. I know she signed up for it, but I can't imagine what it must be like. She seems to be pretty intuitive and I consider myself to have great instincts, but I know I would be second guessing myself right about now. Another thing, she seems to place a huge emphasize on loyalty. She has made several comments about wanting someone that has her back and she'll have theirs…a true team and your team mate would have told you in a second (Like Doug). Even though I'm not a huge fan of Doug…I really felt for him when she told told him she just wanted to be left alone, had that been Arie I bet she would have responded very different and she obviously did not give him the credit he deserved…at least based on what we saw…which is what we have to keep in mind I guess.

It's hard to believe someone as beautiful as Emily would feel the need to enhance anything on her body.

I second that. Hard to believe she felyt insecure about her looks….and it even makes me doubt the sincerity of what she is putting out there in general. I thought her behavior towards the guys was embarrasing this last show…and her lanquage was foul. Clearly it's now about ME, ME, ME, RICKI, ME! Another sad day in America.

Good grief. Bachelorettes can't catch a break. Ashley got ribbed for have small boobs, now Emily's getting flak for having fake ones. Personally, I'd take small over fake, but still. I don't really find it newsworthy.

I was appalled when I was in the grocery store and I saw the US Weekly issue with Emily. Isn't broadcasting her alleged plastic surgery a HIPAA violation or something? Well, maybe not b/c it's not her doctor.
Alas, I don't care if she had plastic surgery. I mean, I've had a baby and I know what that does to your body. (Granted, I'm in my mid-30's.) But still… it's her perogative and her personal life.

Honestly, I find her teeth a little more off-putting that her chest. Very thick veneers! It's so odd. She is really beautiful, though. I am just really not into the 'fake' look. I would love to see what she would have looked like without all the enhancements–and that includes makeup and hair extentions. I bet she'd be even more beautiful.

I thought her boobs were real actually. They kind of look like mom boobs, her cleavage isn't fake looking to me. Strange.

Look at her high school picture! Emily was gorgeous before all that stuff. She's still beautiful, but I have to agree that she looks not a little fake. Seeing her next to Dolly Parton was like looking at twins!
I appreciated the US Weekly story though. I think it is helpful to know when stars have had plastic surgery because otherwise you have regular people comparing themselves to an ideal that isn't even real, which can be sort of self-destructive. I'm probably biased because I have strong negative feelings about plastic surgery in general, but if you're going to make that decision, the least you can do is be honest about it.
