In case there is a void in your life now that we don’t get to witness the Courtney Robertson show every week, I have decided to post on a few recent discoveries involving the model. One of my readers was kind enough to write in and point out that Courtney appeared right in her mailbox. This can understandably be quite shocking, particularly when you’re just trying to have some down time in bewteen seasons of Bach. All of sudden, you’re drinking some coffee at your kitchen table, trying to clip some coupons and BAM, there she is! Courtney in the spring Stein Mart catalogue. Check her out here and on various pages within (pages 6, 9). She certainly is doing her modeling thing, only in this catalogue, she looks like the matronly version of herself.
Last week, Ben and Courtney attended the Mark Zunino Bridal Show at Kleinfeld’s in New York City. Despite watching a bridal show, they claim that they’re not getting married any time soon and are taking things slow (good idea). Cause there’s no better way to get to know each than attending a bridal show together when you’re uncertain as to whether you’re actually going to get married. No pressure there or anything! My guess is that they were flown in to see the show as a nice publicity stunt to get people to attend. Who wouldn’t want to look at dresses AND see the model and Ben up close and personal? See the Daily Mail’s article on it here.
I like that in many of the recent Court photos we’ve seen, she is wearing white. I’m not sure if she’s doing this because she’s playing the innocent card or is going for a bridal look. Either way, I’m not sure how she gets her skin so flawless, but I’d like to know what moisturizer and make up she uses.
In other Courtney news, my friend attended a Red Sox games last week and managed to get upgraded to the awesome seats that include food and drinks and are somewhat private. She was certainly shocked when she ran into Courtney at these seats, who was there with some friends “looking miserable” and texting the whole time. Guess she’s not interested in baseball. My friend was told that Ben was there too but she didn’t see him. Perhaps that was why Courtney looked so unahppy.
Less than three weeks until Bachelorette time. I hope it’s a fun season to watch. In the meantime, we’ve started watching Girls on HBO which is quite entertaining. Have any of you seen it? It’s a much more realistic Sex and the City, though a little over the top at times. That said, the writing is great and there are some scenes which are brilliantly relatable. If you watch, be forewarned that there’s a lot of nakedness and not in the pretty airbrushed kind of way. It’s real, raw and in your face.

Yes, I hear that straight men looooooove going to bridal shows. I took Jim to one and he nearly broke off our engagement 🙂

I am watching “Girls” and it certainly is well done – about 20 somethings in NYC. It seems very real, at least as I imagine young women in their 20s in NYC. So far there have been two shows and I plan to keep watching.
BTW, anyone else conflicted about watching the Bachelorette vs. “America's Got Talent” with Howard Stern?
I will probably DVR both (unless, of course, Hubby is watching a baseball game – which means I can't tape two shows while he watches a “live” show – bummer)…
I am not sure I consider Emily so interesting but I am curious to see how she is presented. She sure is beautiful.
Stacey: thank you again for your work/words here on this blog. I do check in frequently, looking for a break from my work.
Ciao!

Courtney almost looks friendly and approachable in the SteinMart catalog! Sadly, it's only a matter of time before Ben and Courtney break up.
Soo excited for Bachelorette!! “Dancing” doesn't fill the Monday night void at all.

DWTS fills void for me; like it much better than Bachelor/Bachelorette/Bach Pad which are wearing very thin.
