On my home from work this evening, I was doing some very critical thinking about Bachelor Pad. We watched Holly torture herself over which couple to vote off, as she believed herself to be the deciding vote. So here’s what her torture was over:
1) Blake and Erica, the dentist and the lawyer to be, arguably the “intellectuals” of the house, determine that their best course of action is trusting Kasey and Vienna by giving them the safety of two roses. Horrible move. Both of these couples vote out Kirk and Ella, clearly the only couple with a shred of integrity. That’s 2 votes to send home Kirk and Ella.
2) Michelle and Graham, who use their brains this week, realize that Kasey and Vienna’s actions are not the gospel and it’s ok to vote differently. Graham honors his close ties with Michael and MoneyGram (love this combo name) votes out Blake and Erica. Kirk and Ella, pissed that they did not receive the rose, also vote out Blake and Erica. That’s 2 votes to send home Blake and Erica’s Lips.
3) This leaves Holly in a pickle. We’re all tied up at 2 votes per couple, leaving Holly and Michael as the deciding vote. Does she remain loyal to her partner/ex fiance just because he’s finally realized Holly is a prize to be lost? If she does, that’s it for her blooming romance with Blake. Or does she follow her heart and stab both Michael and Ella in the back for some more making out with Blake’s perfect teeth? Shockingly, Holly seems to be the only person that is thinking with her head in the house and chooses Blake.
So here’s my deep thought: if Holly was so torn, and since it’s her (and not Michael) who actually casts the vote, couldn’t she have voted herself and Michael out of the house? Is there a rule against voting for yourself? This of course would mean that there would be a tie and perhaps we’d get to see a competitive tie breaker. How fun would that be? Why can’t Holly think outside the box?
I’m off to enjoy one of the last football season free nights until February with The Husband. To all of you girlfriends / wives / partners out there who will be losing their significant others to football season, I empathize. Not to worry, you can always check in right here!

Stacey your comments are just brilliant.
You are such a good writer, and you are so funny.
I will miss your commentary when the Bachelor Pad is over, and wish you would write about ANYTHING, on, at least a weekly basis.
You refer in past blogs to “be able to have time to write” now that we will be on a hiatus from the Bachelor shows.
What kind of writing are you doing?
Could it be to publish a book of “Stacey's Thoughts” it could be a best seller.
Thanks for your entertainment, it is much appreciated.

There has got to be a rule against voting oneself out. I had that thought too, that a tie breaker competition would be fantastic!! And maybe they would have had to cut one of Erika's monotone botox slurring speeches to fit in the tie breaker.
We'll miss your weekly insights until January! (January?! I can't possibly wait that long!)

My friend in South Carolina said she saw Blake and Holly. She went over and talked with them. She said that Holly has a ring on her finger and it looks as if they are engaged!!!!

Crazy!
Holly Durst may have voted off Blake Julian on Bachelor Pad this week, but the note she handed him at the rose ceremony – saying that it wasn't the end for them – has turned out to be rather telling.
That's because the pair, both 28, who have flirted all season long, are now engaged to be married, a source tells PEOPLE.
Their courtship was always complicated, given that Durst's former fiancé Michael Stagliano was also competing on the show, and still had feelings for her. And Julian himself was involved with fellow contestant Melissa Schreiber throughout much of the season.
But freed from the Bachelor Pad mansion, it appears their flirting has blossomed into true love.
