Rumor mill says Wes is not going to show up. Good; maybe he won't be topic of all the attention.

Wes isn't there – ABC didn't want him to go.

Hey Stacey and the Fiance! Great pod cast, I listened while watching a Rocco marathon on Fox Reality ๐ Here is a suggestion for your destination wedding = The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club http://www.baybeachclub.com/?page_id=7 which is about 45 minutes from BWI airport. They actually did a wedding here that someone won thier fantasy wedding on one of the early shows a couple years ago and it is a awesome place! Just a suggestion! Cynthia

From what I hear Wes and Reid were not present for the Men Tell All. I bet Reid will be making an appearance at the finale.
By the way I just read that Reid, who is a real estate agent in Philadelphia, apparently appeared in an epsiode of HGTV's show My First Place. Has anyone seen the episode he appeared in?

I usually skip the tell all shows, but I think I'll watch this one. Can't wait to see hot-tempered Dave lose it.

I haven't listened to the podcast, but the above comment mentioned that you were looking for destination wedding ideas. I have to put in my two cents…I hate destination weddings! They are asking soooo much of guests. I have one this year and it is costing us over $1000 between flights and hotels! I find it inconsiderate, but obviously everyone has a different opinion! If you do have one…I would suggest making it within driving distance for most!
Can't wait for the Men Tell All tonight…I agree, I usually skip this episode, but I feel that I NEED to watch tonight ๐

Hi Anon at 10:49 AM. Thanks so much for your post. I like hearing both sides of the coin. I completely hear you on the cost of flights/hotels for destination weddings. I have been to about 75 weddings in the past 10 years, and with the exception of 2 or 3 of them, I have had to travel for almost all of them (whether for the wedding, the bridal shower, the bachelorette party or the engagement party). I agree, that it is very pricey to do so, and I have simply declined if I felt I couldn't afford it or if it wasn't that close of a friend. People who invite guests from out of town (regardless of whether it's a "destination wedding" or just a local wedding with lots of out of town guests) should not obligate people to come. We are also considering having a gathering back in NY somewhere for those people who can't make it.
I think our goal is to make the wedding as affordable as possible for our guests (direct flights, off season, group rates, with several hotel options, no need to rent a car) and keep the list short. A large percentage of our guests are out of towners anyhow, and would have to travel regardless.
Anyhow, I value your opinion and I appreciate your feedback. I will keep you posted on what we decide.

Hi Stacey,
Thanks for listening to my destination wedding rant!
Well, if most are coming from out of town anyway, then I suppose it is not so bad. Believe me, if I felt I could decline the one this year, I would – but for various reasons I really need to go. It is nice that you are trying to work out deals for your guests, too.
I guess I am thinking more along the lines that if most guests are coming from one area, then try to do it there rather than make EVERYONE travel. Obviously you will always have people that need to travel!
Like I said, that is just my opinion, but everyone has one ๐ I am sure whatever you decide will be beautiful and if you are happy, that is the most important part!

Stacey B. and The Fiance, why not have the wedding in Central Park?
In the morning you could have a walk/run race for all of your guests who are in the city, Saturday morning. After the run brunch would be served, in the form of bagels, lox, etc.
In the late afternoon, on the Great Lawn, you could have your ceremony.
It would be fun, local, less costly and in a very relaxing atmosphere, with NYC as your backdrop.
Dinner could be provided by using the food carts all over Central Park, or Tavern On The Green Restaurant or Carmines.
I am sure whatever you guys decide to do, it will be fun, and memorable.

Stacey, you've been to 75 weddings in 10 years?? That's kind of freaky. You must be broke just from all the wedding presents you have to buy.
